Virginia Tola - Leonora di Vargas
Winner of the Operalia Prize in Barcelona, Mrs. Tola began a career that brought
her to important theaters such as: Colòn in Buenos Aires, Palau de les Arts Reina
Sofia in Valencia, Teatro Real in Madrid, Washington National Opera, Opéra in Monte
Carlo, Arena in Verona, La Monnaie in Brussels, Los Angeles Opéra, Teatro dell’Opera
in Rome, Regio in Turin and the opera houses in Klagenfurt, La Plata and Santa Fe.
After her successes as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Contessa d’Almaviva
in Le Nozze di Figaro, Violetta in Traviata,
Desdemona in Otello, Luisa Miller (title role) and
Mimì in La Bohème, she has recently added new roles to her
repertoire, singing Lina in Stiffelio, Abigaille in Nabucco,
Nedda in Pagliacci, Amelia in Un ballo in Maschera. Mrs.
Tola lately sang Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Regio
in Parma and at the Colon in Buenos Aires, Desdemona in Otello in
Modena and Piacenza and Lina in Stiffelio in Monte-Carlo; Donna
Elvira in Don Giovanni in Oviedo; Falstaff in
Sao Paulo. Besides her opera appearances, Ms. Tola usually performs in concerts
all over the world; she recently appeared in recital besides Placido Domingo in
Japan. Mrs. Tola’s discography includes Ginastera’s Don Rodrigo and Milena and
Bacalov’s Triple Concerto for Delos International.
Among her future plans it is worth mentioning: Un ballo in
Maschera at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and at the Teatro Massimo in
Palermo; Nabucco at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
Mrs Tola will also star in the Gala Concert at the Festival Verdi in Parma and in
a lyric concert at the Opera in Florence.

Raffaella Lupinacci - Curra
Young up-and-coming Italian mezzo, Raffaella Lupinacci is a prizewinner of the 2013
AsLiCo Competition. Ms. Lupinacci made her operatic debut in 2011 as Tisbe in Rossini’s Cenerentola,
and then as Giovanna and Paggio in Verdi’s Rigoletto at Teatro
“A. Rendano” in Cosenza. She attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro in 2012,
making her debut as Marchesa Melibea in Rossini’s Il Viaggio a Reims.
She was reinvited in Pesaro in 2013 for L’Italiana in Algeri. More recently
she sang: Mary in Der Fliegende Hollaender for the AsLiCo Opera
Domani project, which toured many theaters in Northern Italy; Maometto II (Calbo)
on tour in Switzerland; Rossini’s Otello and a Verdi Gala in Antwerp;
Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint-Etienne under Alberto
Zedda. She recently made her debut in the Circuito Lirico Lombardo singing in Rossini’s Tancredi (Tancredi
and Isaura) and in Verdi’s Otello (Emilia). Raffaella Lupinacci
has recently made her debut as Dorabella in Così fan Tutte in Vicenza
and starred in Aureliano in Palmira at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.
Plans include: Nabucco (Fenena) for the Circuito Lirico
Lombardo in Cremona, Brescia, Como, Pavia.
